I am Maria Denise Perry, a certified professional trainer, coach, speaker, author, business owner, and ordained minister with more than 30 years of experience developing people both professionally and personally.

My career in learning and development has taken me across 49 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces, where I have facilitated professional development for adults at every level of an organization, from frontline employees and truck drivers to managers, senior leaders, and C-suite executives.

That experience has given me more than years on a résumé. It has given me decades of exposure to how people think, communicate, lead, respond to pressure, navigate conflict, and make decisions across different industries, roles, cultures, and regions.

I have spent thousands of hours in training rooms listening to real workplace challenges, facilitating difficult discussions, helping leaders strengthen their skills, and giving people practical tools they can use beyond the classroom.

Experience Beyond the Training Room

I began my professional training career in 1994 and became a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+). In addition to facilitating training, I bring more than two decades of experience designing courses, leadership programs, professional development initiatives, and learning experiences for adult learners.

That background has shaped the way I teach.

I do not simply present information. Through my company, Marden People Development, my programs are designed to create discussion, challenge thinking, connect concepts to real situations, and help participants apply what they learn.

My work has included leadership development, communication, conflict management, professional development, coaching, presentation skills, and helping individuals and teams navigate the people challenges that often determine whether work gets done well or not.

Developing the Person Behind the Professional

My work has never been limited to what happens in the workplace.

As a multi-certified professional coach, speaker, and author, I have also spent years helping individuals examine the mindsets, behaviors, relationships, and personal narratives that influence their choices and outcomes.

This work became the foundation of my message around rewriting the scripts of our lives.

Sometimes people need a new skill.

Sometimes they need a different strategy.

And sometimes they need to recognize that an old belief, pattern, or way of responding is still influencing how they show up today.

My personal development work helps people identify those patterns and make more intentional choices about how they communicate, respond, lead, set boundaries, make decisions, and move forward.

Using the Power of the Word From the Stage

I have been speaking professionally since 2007, delivering presentations for organizations, professional audiences, conferences, church groups, and personal development events.

I have coached hundreds of individuals through private coaching, programs, workshops, and speaking experiences, helping them navigate personal and professional challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

As an author, I continue that work through books and resources focused on mindset, conflict, personal growth, and changing the internal stories that often influence our external results.

Credentials matter. Experience matters.

But living teaches you some things a classroom never will.

I have experienced change, disappointment, reinvention, difficult conversations, relationship challenges, professional transitions, entrepreneurship, ministry, family, success, failure, and the ongoing work of becoming more honest about who I am and who I want to be.

I am a wife, mother of grown children, Nana, entrepreneur, minister, coach, trainer, speaker, author, and a woman who understands that sometimes the biggest thing standing between where we are and where we want to go is a script we have been following for far too long.

So whether I am working with an individual who is ready for personal change or an organization trying to build stronger leaders and healthier teams, the work ultimately comes back to the same thing:

Provide people with insight they can understand, tools they can readily use, and strategies they can put into practice right away.
